Learning Time Simplified: Carrot Time in Traditional Mode

Carrots&Cake makes managing your child’s screen time engaging and productive with its unique approach to blending learning and play. In our last post, we explored Learning Time in Game Mode, where kids navigate Carrot Land as Nibbles the Bunny. But what if you prefer a simpler, no-frills experience? Enter Traditional Mode—a straightforward way to navigate Learning Time.
Switching from Game Mode to Traditional Mode is easy:
Go to the Parent Zone in the Carrots&Cake app.
Navigate to the Restrictions section.
Scroll down and disable the game interface option.
Once this is done, the app transitions to Traditional Mode, where learning becomes streamlined and efficient.
How Traditional Mode Works
In Traditional Mode, Learning Time (or Carrot Time) is focused on simplicity:
Blocked Apps: All non-educational apps are blocked to prevent distractions.
Tap and Learn: Your child can see a list of Carrots (learning activities) and simply tap one to start. There’s no need to move Nibbles around as in Game Mode.
Once all the Carrots are completed, your child is taken to the Cake House, signaling the start of Cake Time (free time).
What Happens During Cake Time?
Cake Time is your child’s reward for completing Learning Time. During this period:
Apps are unblocked: Your child can play any app they like within the set free time.
Time-limited fun: Once Cake Time ends, the apps are blocked again until Learning Time begins anew.
